HSI is a small, woman-owned company established in 1997. Drawing upon the knowledge and experience of its skilled professionals, the company offers a wide range of technical and management services for air traffic control providers, aviation planners, airport operators, and business management services for government and industry. Under the leadership of its president and founder, Brenda Boone, the HSI team brings to every project a quick technical grasp and problem solving versatility that comes from expertise actively applied to situations where human performance and technology interact.

HSI has worked extensively with the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration where it has earned a reputation for on-time delivery of high quality products tailored to the special needs of its clients. We also work with aviation organizations around the world and provide management consulting services to other public and private entities.

Leadership

Brenda Boone, President - founded HSI in 1997 after a successful career in the Federal Aviation Administration where she managed high-profile human factors/human engineering programs. Her expertise encompasses all facets of human factors analysis, organizational culture and management concepts, program and project management, labor relations, and the introduction of new technology, especially as it relates to air traffic control systems, operational concepts, and procedures. She holds a Ph.D in industrial engineering from Florida State University.

The HSI team includes highly experienced and well-trained human factors professionals, air traffic and airport subject matter experts, computer scientists, system engineers, safety, security, and organizational specialists committed to delivering the highest quality service to its clients. Our employees have a detailed knowledge of human factors principles, air traffic control operations, concepts, equipment, management, and procedures, gained through on-site experience and academic achievement. Many of our staff have served in front line positions as certified professional air traffic controllers, air traffic managers, systems engineers, computer specialists, and human factors and organization management specialists.
